Originally a twenty
three
acre berry farm and listed as the Frostick House in the town's
historic Moore Library, The Powell House has grown into a Lexington
Bed and Breakfast in the Victorian spirit.
A warm and gracious home dating back to
1852, The Powell House B&B rests on four tree shaded and
gardened acres with a view of Lake Huron and within walking distance
of the beach.
The Powell House is
conveniently located three quarters of a mile north of the village
of Lexington. A friendly town with a beautiful marina and harbor
area, vintage neighborhoods, quaint shops and delightful
restaurants.
At the waters edge you're invited to enjoy
swimming, the tennis court or a lovely landscaped picnic area; and
the dramatic harbor promenade is a perfect place for a walk or
several of hours of fishing. If you care to venture from the center
of town, there are charter diving trips to 16 sunken vessels in the
"Sanilac Shores Underwater Preserve", along the coastline
of Lake Huron. Charter fishing boats for the avid angler are also
available. Those who prefer wheels will enjoy the 4 mile bike path
to the historic town of Croswell.
